Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Junior Accountant
Junior Accountants are responsible for the preparation and delivery of payroll documentation, as well as the maintenance of all company accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions. In this role the Jr. Accountant will perform the daily operational accounting procedures relating to journalizing the business lending activity and operational expenses to the General ledger. As a successful candidate, we’ll depend on you and your time management skills to create pertinent deliverables like reports and monthly journals that communicate the status of the company’s finances. Your presence and hard work are indispensable, as you’ll assist us in maintaining the day-to-day records. Do you have great communication skills and a willingness to learn? Key Responsibilities:
In this role the Jr. Accountant will perform the daily operational accounting procedures relating to journalizing the business lending activity and operational expenses to the General ledger.
Perform month end accounting closing processes, prepare financial statement and internal management reports, and account reconciliations
Manage payroll processing for loan officer commissions and regular semi-monthly operational staff, review all tax withholding reporting and year-end W2 forms. Act as administrator of the company’s benefits plans (medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc.)
Perform accounts payable function for regular checks or wire processing of payment to vendors. Ensure proper approvals and authorizations are in place. Issue year end 1099 forms.
Manage the company’s cash position, bank account relationships, and online accesses. Perform any ad-hoc deposits as necessary.
Support the year-end annual audit and tax return processes with external CPA company.
Assist with ad-hoc projects relating to strategic plans, budgets, variance analyses, and regulatory report filings

BA Degree in Accounting, with strong GPA

Job Summary
Ark Mortgage is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer for full time positions within our growing company. Mortgage Loan Officers are responsible for originating loans, conducting borrower interviews, analyzing credit histories, and staying updated about current regulations. Loan Officers will work closely with the processing team, ensuring all documentation is obtained as the loan moves through the process to closing while maintaining the highest level of service and ethics. Loan Processor
Job Summary
Ark Mortgage, Inc. is seeking a Loan Processor for full time positions within our growing company located in our Spring Valley, NY location. As a Loan Processor the primary function of this role will be to assist clients with submitting the necessary documents and manage the process from pre-approval to closing. Processors are to track support information, ensure the highest quality in loan document preparation and the timely submission of loan packaging.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
The Loan Processor’s responsibility will include timely, thorough, accurate processing, verification and packaging of data. Perform a general evaluation of an application (financial documents, mortgage type, etc.). Input all accurate data into Encompass system. Gather all important data from Client (i.e income, assets). Verify information and references contacting the right sources. Prioritizes and addresses customer needs and demands in a professional manner, providing follow-up and developing cooperative relationships. Correct mistakes and investigate inconsistencies. Act as a point of contact between the Loan Officer; gather conditions requested by the Underwriter, Team Lead and Clients ensuring that all package of information is complete

Underwriter
Job Summary
Ark Mortgage is seeking a thorough Residential Mortgage Loan Underwriter for full time positions within our growing company located in our Spring Valley, NY location. The Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating the borrowers’ financial and credit information in tandem with property valuations to determine our borrowers’ credit risk. The Residential Mortgage Loan Underwriter will be expected to work closely with all members of the production team throughout the process to bring loans to closing.

Responsibilities
Underwrite conventional and/or FHA & VA loan applications ensuring adherence to Company and investors guidelines. Review and audit of loan files for completeness and accuracy, analyzing credit documents, including, but not limited to, mortgage applications, credit reports, income documents, title reports, appraisals and all applicable compliance documents. Review all conditions of the loan approval and ensure all conditions are satisfied prior to submitting the loan to the Closing. Department for completion of the closing package. Exercise good judgment, conduct reasonableness tests and issue quality decisions
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of recent industry experience. Complete understanding of the legal, compliance and investor requirements of residential mortgage products including conforming, alternative and/or government programs. Experience analyzing loan and borrower data and determining best course of action. Knowledge of Encompass preferred. Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to solve complex problems. Self-motivated and high producer; ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines within an acceptable time frame. Strong written and oral communication skills, team player and ability to work as a team with the Team Lead, Loan Processor and supporting staff. Sr. Mortgage Loan Closing Funder
Job Summary
Ark Mortgage is seeking Sr. Mortgage Closer/Funder for full time positions within our growing company located in our Spring Valley, NY location. This position performs the job with infrequent consultation with superiors. Decision-making includes reacting to errors discovered to resolve the immediate issue and also to ensure a similar error is not made. They must be able to stand by a decision, despite second guessing or disagreement from others. They must take quick action, sometimes in spite of limited information. They must be able to determine the required documents needed for each individual loan request to insure protection of the bank’s and the customer’s interests. They must be able to quickly escalate issues outside of their level of authority. They must maintain a high working knowledge of bank loan policy and regulations. Day to day decisions will be made regarding the major duties and responsibilities of the position. Salary will commensurate with experience.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Assume certain supervisory responsibilities as assigned by management, such as: organize loan files to ensure work is completed timely as directed
Assist in training new closers
Provide guidance and assistance to the closing and corrections teams as necessary
Provide feedback for performance reviews.
Perform loan closing tasks to ensure team continues to meet established turn-time requirements.
Ensure that loan disbursement activities are done accurately and timely for boarding to the servicing system.
Ensure all closers have prepared files accurately and timely for transfer to the Loan Delivery department.
Coordinate with others to make certain corrections for pending purchases or mortgage insurance are obtained timely, to meet the needs required.
Conduct periodic audits of random samples of closed loans to ensure all closing documents have been scanned into the imaging system, and are complete and legible.
Communicate and coordinate with originating and underwriting staff to facilitate excellent customer service.
Review current practices and procedures and provide recommendations to senior management regarding changes that may enhance customer service, or improve efficiency within the department.
Perform other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient in typing, use of calculator by touch, and proficient in the use of personal computer systems.
