A real estate agent is a licensed professional who is authorized to serve on behalf of the buyer. They are usually compensated via commission which equates to a percentage of the property’s purchase price. They walk his or her client through the necessary paperwork, maintain communication between other parties involved, and provide information regarding the inspection process.
